Jude takes on the role of Wellington/NZ Coordinator and project lead for the Luo community. He arrived in New Zealand in September 2010, accompanied by his younger sister, Eunice Oyaba, to reunite with their Aunt Grace Kayeny Ogwaro, Uncle Francis Ogwaro, and cousins Jenkins Rwothomio, Paul Ogwaro, and Niece Krishna Ogwaro.
In 2019, Jude married Virginia Koshaba. However, immigration requirements and the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic delayed the arrival of his wife Virginia and their daughter Sofia until November 2022.
